Harry H. Hawkins, III, is an author, artist, and implementation specialist. He holds multiple degrees: an associate and bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Innovative Leadership Development, researching the best ways to take black hobbies and turn them into thriving micro-businesses.
Harry loves people in short bursts and is an accomplished introvert whisperer. He hates bad systems and sharing food. An admitted story addict, Harry immerses himself in grand stories in almost any format.
In May 2025, Harry took on the role as the President of the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development in Madison, WI. He came to Nehemiah in 2017, and during his time at Nehemiah, Harry has helped with communications, fund development, and Nehemiah’s Justified Anger initiative. Before assuming the role of President, Harry was the Executive Vice President from 2018-2025. As the second president of Nehemiah, Harry continues to implement and steward the great vision of Dr. Gee and leading the wonderful staff at Nehemiah!
